With 150 schools from London taking part over the year, Âé¶¹¹ú²úAV Court, representing the London Borough of Redbridge and Âé¶¹¹ú²úAV came 5th overall. beating the champions Little Ealing! Âé¶¹¹ú²úAV Court won a special trophy for the ‘spirit of cricket’ shown throughout the whole day where they played schools from Richmond, Ealing and Camden.

The team had a special tour behind the scenes in the visitor’s dressing room and had a special talk from ex player Afran Akram. Akram has represented Essex and England and has been on tour with England, Australia and South Africa.

For the last 16 years, William Greaves Trophy brings together children from state primary schools across London for five months of exciting and competitive cricket.

Running across 17 London Boroughs, with individual borough rounds followed by a round of semi finals for the borough winners. Eight schools from different boroughs play at the grand final.

The competition format is 8 players per side with a minimum of 4 girls playing in every game and the teams can be formed of children in year 4, 5 and 6.
